Motion Search

Motion is an important component in temporal datasets representing a variety of sensor devices. This project investigates the design of scalable motion-content-based indexing/retrieval mechanisms and a motion based activity recognition system for applications that employ large motion data archives. The project is a giant step forward towards unifying query-by-example-based indexing and retrieval systems and high-level semantic query-based activity recognition systems. It will facilitate the development of diverse motion-based applications for entertainment and security applications.

Trusted Middleware for Secure Collaborations (TRIUMF)

TRIUMF:  the Trusted Middleware for Fault-tolerant secure collaborative computing, is aimed at enabling privacy preserving collaborative processes across administrative domains. The middleware is built around a Services Oriented Architecture comprising of an ensemble of services including: membership services, data request processing services, data access services, privacy preserving data processing services, and the high availability services. TRIUMF is being developed on top of JXTA, which provides an open source P2P networking infrastructure.
