MotionSearch: International Supplement Award

Through this supplementary award, the currently funded efforts is enhanced with the introduction of a comprehensive performance evaluation paradigm involving international collaborations with researchers (Professor Shahab Baqai and Professor Sohaib Khan) from the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), Pakistan. The supplementary efforts will include the following two distinct components:

a) Assemble and disseminate a large collection of diverse motion trajectory data and associated meta information and ground truth data; and,

b) Evaluate the performance and scalability of the indexing/retrieval and classification techniques developed in MotionSearch project.

The dataset will be developed in a controlled environment using an elaborate set of video cameras and sensors available at LUMS, Pakistan. The dataset will be tagged with meta information that will serve as ground truth and will be made available to the research community worldwide through an indexed, searchable, web-enabled database that will serve as a reference for gauging the performance of motion classification and recognition systems.
