I joined the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Illinois at Chicago in Fall 2001 as a graduate student pursuing M.S degree in Electrical Engineering majoring in the field of "Digital Signal and Image Processing". Currently I'm a PhD student with the same department. I hold the position of Research Assistant in Multimedia Systems Lab . My advisor is Prof. Dr. Ashfaq Khokhar , who directs the Multimedia Systems Lab .

I obtained my B.Sc. degree in Electrical Eng. from the University of Eng.. & Tech. Lahore , in March 2000 with honors.
After completing the baccalaureate degree from UET Lahor, i joined the same universityas a Research Associate at Communication Systems Lab with Prof. Dr. Saleem Mian who directs thelab for a brief period of two months working on a project for the EducationDept..Govt. of Punjab.
In June 2000, i joined Delta Indus Systems a firm specializing in Machine Vision products in the area of PCB and solder-paste inspection. I had been a member/team lead in different projects during my stay at the Delta Indus Systems which included
